Do you have a decisive ranking for the Krallice discography? With the recent activity of greatness, it gets harder and harder to do I think.

you know, i was actually thinking about this a LOT lately. i'm kind of tempted to do a youtube video on the topic or something cuz i don't know if i could fill all my thoughts into a last.fm shoutbox LMAO. here's probably my immediate thoughts after a quick peruse through their discog: Inorganic Rites (still not sure yet but it is UP there right now) > Go Be Forgotten > Diotima > Porous Resonance Abyss = Ygg huur > Years Past Matter = Crystalline Exhaustion = Psychagogue = Dimensional Bleedthrough > Hyperion > Mass Cathexis > The Kinetic Infinite > Mass Cathexis 2 > Wolf > Krallice > Loum = Prelapsarian > Orphan of Sickness. and to be honest i don't even think these are definitive thoughts, because if i sat down and listened to every album from front to back in one day, the order would probably change. also worth noting that i think the absolute *worst* Krallice album is a 7.5/10 at the very lowest lol. S/T, Loum and Prelapsarian are low on this list, but they are fantastic.

man i'm already questioning some decisions here after 20 seconds LOL. i don't know if i really think CE + Psych are lower than Ygg huur, i just really fucking like that album and think it stands out a lot amongst their catalog to this day still. Dimensional Bleedthrough has always been a top 5 Krallice album for me, so i'm tempted to put it there, but man it's fucking hard to argue with their most recent material...

Not to burst in here almost 3 months later, but didn't you forget Demonic Wealth? :D

AH MAN I TOTALLY DID. i could have sworn i put it in here! i'd put it above Wolf but below Mass Cathexis 2. i think it's harder to get someone to listen to it because of its lo-fi and experimental nature but it's got some serious gems awash the atmosphere, and it's probably their most important album in terms of their recent style shift.

You will fall in love with them going by your library. They never released a single bad record, but their latest - Oxidized (2021) - is the closest any band came post-Solace to reach that special Ion Dissonance level of madness, chaos and fury with just a bit of an updated sound. Have fun!

yes, Diotima is absolutely fantastic -- still maybe my favorite release of theirs to date. there's just something about its atmosphere and production that just hits perfectly. cheers on the compliment, thanks for stopping by and saying hi :)

yes! i am a HUGE fan of "Fausta in the Third Heaven", "Killing A Sword" and "Disinterment of Sfanomoë". mega shreds for sure. i also really like all of the ambient / atmospheric passages in between. "Mere" is probably the standout. but the whole thing is absolutely amazing.

give PsyOpus a shot! probably the closest to Car Bomb's style IMO. Into the Moat is also a good one for that really mathy, chuggy flavor. From A Second Story Window also has some great mathy stuff, particularly in their first two albums (Not One Word... and Delenda; Conversations is more straightforward but just as good)... and while they're not really in the same kind of style, you might also like Behold the Arctopus! not the same kind of chug but highly technical and fun to listen to.

Hey. I stumbled across Nick McMaster from Krallice's Facebook account. He said that new Krallice sounds like Gorguts/Portal/Ocrilim, and that Geryon are in the studio in October. I saw you listen to far too much Krallice so I thought you'd be as excited as I am.

Hi from across the wooorld. Thanks for accepting. You've definitely listened to way more Jute Gyte than anyone I have ever seen on here, by far.
