Berk Bayındır (born September 9, 1989 - April 25, 2022) known as Beta or Beta Berk Bayındır is a turkish rapper and a songwriter. He studied acting at the Theater Department of Kadir Has University. He posthumously continues his work with Epidemic Production in Olympos. His interest in music and acting started at a young age. He made his first step into the music market in 2004 with the album "A2BT" and printed 100 copies of this album. He published 250 copies of his second album "Cümle Alem" and 500 copies of his album "Çürük Yarınlar", which was released in 2005, In 2006, together with Batuğ, they formed the group "Antisistem" and prepared the album "Manik Depresif". In the same year, with the inclusion of Deniz Gürzumar in the group, they prepared the album "Sistem Yalakaları". With the songs he gave to the internet; he began to acquire an audience in 2006. In 2007, he joined Olympos Production and released "Hesap Mı?".
In 2008, he prepared the album "Deşifre" with the acrostic technique. He made his real debut in 2008 with the "Pişti" album and clip. They then shared the "Beton" album they had prepared with Pit10 in 12 hours with their listeners.
He solidified his position with the album and clip named "Dokuz" on September 9th, 2009. In 2010, together with Pit10, they covered each other's songs with the cover album "Bu İşte Bir Terslik Var", breaking new ground in Turkish rap history.
He made his first stage performance in 2005. He took the stage at May Fest and Khas Fest. He traveled to more than 40 cities in Turkey with the intense concert tempo since 2009 and took part in numerous concerts. In addition to the fun and sarcastic songs he calls "rap with a joke", his poems and sad songs "Misafir" and "Sevgililer Günü" show his emotional side. It is possible to listen to the songs he sings in the style of story-telling with his imagination, as well as making songs inspired by his experiences.
He studied acting at the Theater Department of Kadir Has University. He took part in the series "Krem" in 2012 and "Paramparça" in 2016 with minor roles. In 2010, he prepared sketches with the characters he created in the "Osmantan Erkır TV" program on Fox TV. His character Erdem Şahin has attracted great attention and was the guest of the live broadcast at the end of the program. He made two albums with the character "Emrecan Smithy", those being "Can Simidi" and "Emrecan Boğazdan Gelir".
On March 8, 2011, he shared "Kulak Kabartma Tozu", a compilation album of his most loved songs on the internet. On March 27, 2011, he presented his album "Kulak" to the internet. Then he released the maxi single named "Deli-Dahi". In 2014, he went to Ankara/Mamak to do his military service. He completed his duty as the Band and Moral Team in the masters union in Narlıdere, İzmir. On his return from the military, he has dissed with FlowArt, and was spoken to with "O.S.O.N.P.A.N.Ç." and "Son Nokta" disses. Then he released the single "Klişe". Finally, the album "Best of Beta", a compilation of his old songs, was released on the Epidemik Yapım label as Beta Berk Bayındır's first banded album.
In 2017, he sang the song "Her Şey Aynı" together with Şanışer in his Live Sessions series. In 2018, he was featured on Sokrat St's album "Grafomani".
In 2019, he released a single called "Otuz" with the Epidemik Yapım label and the clip received a lot of views. In the same year, he took part in the protest rap project called Susamam, accompanied by Şanışer and other 22 rap artists, and was highly appreciated. He was going to be a jury in a competition called "Açık Mikrofon" on the Gain platform in 2021, but he was in intensive care for a long time due to a traffic accident and could not be a jury in the competition. He was discharged after. He lost his life by falling from the 8th floor of his residence in Gültepe on April 25, 2022. He was buried in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery. Beta created an image with a fedora and everyone recognized him with this image, and had a very different take on Turkish Rap.
On his first death anniversary, Server Uraz has announced that his posthumous album, "ANKA", will be released on September 9th, 2023. The first single of the album called "Kriminal", featuring one of the important figures on Turkish Rap scene, Ceza, was released on April 26th, 2023. The album was later delayed to an unknown date, as another single of the same album, "Yaz Aşkım"", featuring Zen-G was released on September 9th, 2023. The album "ANKA" got released two years after his death day, April 26th, 2024.
