Hôte de la prestigieuse série Invitation en 2009, le génial trompettiste français Erik Truffaz nous avait alors fait voyager avec son tryptique Rendez-vous. Depuis, il a engendré un 11e opus paru sur Blue Note, In Between, une oeuvre d’une beauté sombre et mélancolique à laquelle a participé la Suisse Sophie Hunger. En plus de se joindre à Truffaz pour quelques pièces, elle assurera, en duo, la première partie de cette soirée, avec sa voix renversante et son talent fou. Une suite naturelle à ses succès à L’Astral l’été dernier et ce printemps.

Host of the prestigious Invitation series in 2009, brilliant French trumpeter Erik Truffaz has already taken us on a musical trip with his tryptic Rendez-vous. Since then, he’s released an 11th gem on Blue Note, In Between, a work of somber and melancholy beauty featuring Swiss singer Sophie Hunger. She’ll join Truffaz for several numbers, and also open the evening with her wonderful voice and undeniable talent. It’s the natural follow-up to her triumphs in L’Astral last summer and this spring.
