Soundcrash are extremely proud to present the biggest London label night yet for Tru Thoughts!

Upscaling from their regular venue of Koko in response to overwhelming demand for recent label events, the time has come to take over The Forum with a monster club night featuring some of the biggest names and most exciting future stars on the celebrated indie imprint. With a quality selection of crossover live bands and DJs, expect the best in soul, funk, electronic and tropical rhythms with a healthy dose of hip hop and Sound System Culture thrown in – eclectic, electric and utterly compelling music from our favourite Brighton label.

The backbone of the label for many years is here, with QUANTIC coming across from New York for one of his famous globe-spanning DJ sets incorporating live elements and Ableton wizardry, following the major success of his recent ‘Magnetica’ album. A very special live outfit, with visceral and intricate beats brought to life by two drummers, HIDDEN ORCHESTRA promise to deliver the transporting tapestry of sound that has won over fans and tastemakers across the world. Add to this the pinnacle of dancehall/dub reggae vibes from the revered RAGGA TWINS and WRONGTOM; the always charismatic and engaging Godfather of British hip hop RODNEY P, joined by his musical kid sister, MistaJam-championed soul singer HARLEIGHBLU; and dusty funk magic from the crates of NOSTALGIA 77, whose incredible year has encompassed everything from gracing the official BBC 6Music Playlist in collaboration with Prince Fatty to producing Jamie Cullum’s latest hit album.

Manchester based Werkha shows why he is one of the most hotly tipped talents in UK electronic music, having already notched up tour support stints for Bonobo and Chet Faker – not to mention heavy Gilles Peterson support – all before his first album. Supernatural Sound System Music comes from Ghost Writerz, fronted by Roots Manuva-championed Jimmy Screech and trailblazers for the recently launched Sharp And Ready wing of the Tru Thoughts stable.

Completing the line-up is the label’s newest signing, J-Felix, unveiling his eclectic DJ chops; and it is all tied together by the inimitable Robert Luis on the decks, making for an unmissable showcase of the best that Tru Thoughts has to offer… even before you factor in the innumerable special guests who will doubtless be making an appearance.
