I don't think we'll ever hear that second Antemasque album that have been recorded since 2015. Same with the second Bosnian Rainbows. WHY OMAR WHY

This is what i imagine ATDI would have sounded like now if they kept to their 'Hell Paso' and 'Alfaro Vive, Carajo'-esque style. [2] Very true. People who are straight up shitting on this should look into these dudes musical history. Even as late as El Gran Orgo they were almost pop punk at times.

it's kinda strange listening to this.. their musical approach with antemasque.. it's so pop-rock... and the melodies are nothing like I've ever heard from them. they tried something new, which is a good thing, I guess.... but it just feels weird to me hearing Cedric Bixler singing to "normal" music

If you are one of those people that just wants them to keep remaking ATDI/TMV sounding stuff, you're just a close minded moron, and you need to expand your horizons. They are living people, not machines to make music for you. They have changed and evolved, as humans do, and their music will reflect that. Quit bitching.

'Drown All Your Witches' sounds a little like the start of Ramble On, by Led Zep. Good to hear a different direction.

As a long time listener of Cedric and Omars projects - I don't mind it. At times it's almost like they are trying to create a mature version of acrobatic tenement. I look forward to catching them in Australia at the soundwave festival.

That's the thing, @lostboy-, we can't expect members from band A, who form a new band to sound the same as they did in band A... it's a different band altogether, a new beast is created. Can't stop listening to Antemasque myself. Bluesy at times, alternative at times, punky at times and a little folky at times, this album's got a lot of flavor.

Either way, I'm over the moon that the two are back together and making awesome music once again.

Ofc, they're no TMV, but it would be unfair to compare anyone, including Omar and Cedric, to TMV as TMV are the greatest band to have ever existed. Personally, I love the album but suspect it won't have the longevity of any of TMV's output due to the lack of music depth (i.e. layers and complexity).
