ALPHA is the debut studio album released by soloist CL. The album was teased with the short video posted on YouTube in September 2020 called "Post Up". Two further singles named "HWA" and "5 Star" were released to support the upcoming album. The album was originally dated to be released on November 30th 2020, but it was postponed for further improvements. In the month of August 2021, it was announced that the album was due to be released in October 2021. Three Further singles were released, starting with the fiery single "Spicy". Next was "Lover Like Me" and thirdly "Tie a Cherry" which was released conjunction to ALPHA, on October 20th 2021.
