Even before I ever got "into music", I remember my 3rd grade teacher always having this song on at some point or another during "quiet reading time". It's been a fave of mine ever since. The emotion in the guitar playing gets me EVERY time

Put on that Hotel California, dance around like I'm insane. I feel free when I see no one and nobody knows my name.

Absolutely enchanted by this song every time I hear it. I can't understand why so many younger people hate it. They all seem to think of Eagles as "Dad rock". I don't care if it's old, it's miles better than Weezer or Imagine Dragons or any of that other crap they call "alternative" these days.

Totally, *TOTALLY* agree! I was not even born when this song was written. But few, if any, musicians have managed to surpass it since. Ore before, for that matter. It's what we call timeless. It's not that people don't make good music these days. But songs of this calibre are exceedingly rare. They were rare back then, they are rare today. And that guitar solo is beyond what words can describe.

Don't get me wrong, I like Weezer too, they have over 100 scrobbles in my library, but I'm not a big fan of their newer stuff. Lots of fluff.
