Helen Burns is such a weird, but good EP. Much more experimental than I would have expected. Very enjoyable to listen to.

@FanThom. Absolutely! There is such a chemistry when they play together. But now they're at places musically where it would be even more interesting to have them work together. Flea really developped as a musician with his recent collaborations and focus on piano and trumpet, and John's new direction is interesting too.

Helen Burns, a cool concept, but he's just below par at being an adept multi-instrumentalist to really pulling it off. It sounds like a vapid Squarepusher EP.

Definitely a really nice surprise. Amazing stuff. I love how he can put out something creatively on par with what Frusciante currently puts out, but in being more simple and maybe more modest in his approach to the music and in the explanation of it. That said, it's not better than Letur-lefr in my opinion, which really is a work of genius. It's not far, but not better. I wish the pair would work together again anyway and maybe make an album together.

It has a Frusciante touch for sure. It also makes me think to Josh Klinghoffer and Omar Rodriguez Lopez.
