Metisse are African singer/song writer Aida, and Irish musician/producer Skully. The duo met while both were living in Toulouse, they are now based in Cork, on the south coast of Ireland. The name Metisse means mixture in French. Metisse originally came to international prominence through the dance scene, with mixes by the likes of FreqNasty, DJ Cam, and 4Hero.
