People calling this "The beginning of the end" clearly are lacking taste, this is incredible start to finish.

I was initially disappointed when this first came out and I have no idea why anymore. Solid Muse album and standout tracks - even if the fun dabbling in symphonic rock is not always 💯 on the ball.

Lmao I seriously don't get these people saying "the beginning of the end" or "their last good album". Not only is this probably their best album, but the sound everyone wants Muse to keep doing is AT LEAST 20 years old now.

The end of the beginning. They showed their will to reinvent themselves with this album and that's one of the reasons they are still around today.

When people mention the "Best of Muse" they often say Absolution, BH&R, and hell even Origin of Symmetry, but I definitely believe The Resistance deserves that title too, this album is fucking brilliant. It mixes elements of Rock, Pop, Piano, orchestra and symphony, and provides a consistent theme without shoving it down your throat like Drones does, and it's produced brilliantly, the sound is so clear and pleasing to the ears. I fucking love this album and this band.

I'd just cut Guiding Light and I Belong To You, and it'd make a perfectly good record with a pop suite, a prog suite and a symphonic suite.

This is an incredible album. Love the string-heavy tracks, reminds me of an updated ELO-meets-Queen, and I love that this album incorporates so much piano. You don't see that often on newer albums.

This has actually aged fairly well, in my opinion [2] seems to have took me 6 years to figure this album out. I grinned when I Belong To You started playing in my earphones...I distinctly hating this to bits when TR came out. Why the sellout question, some might ask? Because this album won Muse their first Grammy in 2010, and their mainstream power started growing after this. Absolution obvs won them the beginnings of a mainstream audience, but TR made even more people curious about Muse. Props to them for having a album with French opera excerpts, not one but THREE symphonies and an Arabic sounding orchestra cum Queen mashup on their Grammy album.. Probably only Muse could carry this off. If it were any normal band they would have been written off as a loony one.

first bad Muse album. it has two good songs: MK Ultra and Undisclosed Desires. Then there is some attempt to make classical, and some filler shit
