I should've known better than to judge a band by the only single I'd ever heard by them, which I didn't mind but didn't think was particularly mindblowing either. I've just listened to full albums today for the first time and my mind is definitely off somewhere like whoa!

Looks like the only two I can remember loving were Cosmonauts and Landmine Spring - however, it's now been quite a while since I last listened, so I guess I'm going to have to listen again. Thanks for the reminder! :)

You should listen to Freezing Process more! Such a powerful, emotional song. I can't help but lose my shit when I hear I!

Уолтер Шрайфелс - один из самых недооцененных фронтменов своего времени. Череда неудач помешали Quicksand встать в один ряд с Helmet, однако качество материала от этого хуже не стало. Эталонный коллектив саунда 90-х.

Yeah I've been saying the same thing since I first heard it. Definitely a heavy Deftones influence on songs like Cosmonauts and Interiors.

I tend to agree. Unlike 'Manic Compression', which gets stronger all the way through, this one does the opposite for me on first listen, and for a relatively short album that's somewhat disappointing. I'll give it another chance too.

If you liked Quicksand try listening to Wolves like us first album, theyr vibe is quite same. And they made huge influence to wolves in sound. They even have too official cover released in the single, though it's hard to find it. I would recommend trying Deathless and shiver in the heat. Enjoy.

This week at Already Heard, to coincide with their appearance at Groezrock Festival next weekend, we did an album versus on New York post hardcore legends Quicksand. I was really happy with how this turned out, but it was also hard as they only have two albums, and both of them are incredible. I chose Slip, whilst Heather wrote for Manic Compression. Have a read, tell us what you think, and enjoy! http://alreadyheard.com/post/83738096888/versus-quicksand-slip-vs-manic-compression#.U1lmpfldWSo

Can't believe they're back. Frustrated I won't be able to see them at Reading/Leeds - I wish they were playing some non-festival dates in the UK.
