Even though Bury Me With a Gun is being released 8/24, it's not the first single. The first single is called SOS, and will be released in September. The album (which doesn't have an official title at the moment), will be released 1/11/11.

Raine updated his Twitter, stating that he's really diving into his solo stuff during the tour break, and we can expect to see/hear new music in May!

Sounds like Billy Corgan + Bon Jovi. <<<--- Man, you're deaf. Or you never listened to Corgan, Jovi and Maida. What you said is as stupid as saying that Blink 182 sounds like The Clash + The Beatles...

So it seems the recording of Solo Album #2 has officially started. As I mentioned before, Raine has stated he has quite a few songs already written, but he also updated his Twitter yesterday saying he's recorded a new song currently titled "We All Get Lighter."

i have read a lot of the shout outs. i am disappointed in what i am reading. everyone is entitled to their opinion. but this guy, whom i really admire for his musical talent and personal character, has done something brilliantly different and unique and i think it is incredible. so what is parts are spoken word, just because its new or different doesnt make it bad. i think the lyrics are powerful and meaningful. as for the direction OLP took in recent albums, musicans evolve, get over it, how boring would it be if every album was identical. i enjoy hearing thins from every spectrum. i personally loved Gravity. And I also love their older stuff. Also, he is not the only member of the band. its a collaboration, he isnt soley responsible for the music. Furthermore, i just wanted to say, I think what he did solo was beautiful. I love it. it was over produced in a fancy studio with someone else telling him what to do, from what i understand he made it in his own studio in his home.

He said in an interview a month or two ago that his second solo album is already written. So it still needs to be recorded, mastered, and mixed. I wouldn't expect it all that soon though, as OLP's Burn Burn just came out so they'll be touring for awhile.

LOL likeadeadstar, i agree about OLP but concerning raine and chantal -- i think each of their blandness has so infused with the other that they cant come out with anything good anymore. its just all.. so.. boring. maybe he should have gone with sarah slean instead. p.s. love the mgb reference in your name. congrats.

The Hunter's Lullaby is probably one of the best solo records of all time, or at least recent memory. Most solo albums sound just like whatever band they were/are a part of, but Raine goes into a complete different direction.
