Thanks so much for accepting my friends request. I agree that some of Music's best Chill started with Santana. You have a very great idea compiling their greatest instrumentals. One great chill song that comes to mind is "Angel Of Water," from the album Carlos made with Alice Coltrane. Maybe a little dreamier than some of your others but it's such a beautiful song that still gives me chills. I also enjoyed "Song For Devadip" from the "Oneness" album, which isn't so much in the "Chill" line as the others. I'll keep thinking of more a get back with you soon! Take care!

Yeah man I know Yok Yok. Great vocals, catchy riffs.. I love Erkin Koray. He is first rock musician in Turkey. My favorite Erkin Koray song is "Mesafeler". This song has a great psychedelic solo man.

Thank you for recommending The Top to me. I have been listening to it since 1986 pretty much none stop :) Does a little happy face even do it justice? I adore The Glove and despite the fact that The Top almost brought about the demise of Mr. Smith, I still think it is a work of pure genius. So, what else can you recommend to me?

I just think it's cool to find another Machine That Flashes fan. I managed, by sheer fuckin' dumb luck, to get ahold of Mike Stanioch and bought "Bloom, Seed, Decay" and "Fog + Granite" (already owned "Luciferin" and bought the "Resensitized" 7" recently). He says he's eventually going to send their two last albums, but I haven't heard from him in months. Will definitely check out that Flower Travellin' Band bootleg. Really dig their discography and always dig heavy music from Japan.

Oh and I heard another resemblance, again from DKC, but I'm again not sure which track. Extra uploaded it in HD, since there was no high quality version on YT... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCZuJW3tlA0#t=0m46s from 0:46 on, the high tone background stuff, but I have no clue which level it could be. :/

Hahaha, Theme of Laura IS Maybe Someday, I always told everybody, but nobody wanted to hear the similiarities, finally somebody else noticed it, too. :D And yea, I thought it's Treetop Rock too, but I have in my mind that there is a DKC song with the exact melody and very clearly hearable... which isn't Treetop Rock. Actually it could be in the first part of Life in the Mines which I'm listening to right now, but I'm not sure, maybe I should hear it less stoned... :P

Dammit, now I can't miss it! I gotta hope they come near so I can get there. That sounds absolutely amazing! Agh, can't believe I didn't go. I've noticed that most Rush fans I know are quite nice too lol. And that sounds like a great experience with those tracks one after another...Amazing sounding at the least!!

Naw, I haven't. I've really been meaning too though :<. That sounds amazing, dude. How much did it cost you? Was the crowd decent? And they really played all of MP?

Agreed, Subhuman has definitely grown on me too. I've also recently come to the conclusion that the outro solo in Dominance might be Buck's best ever. I know thats a grand statement to make but for speed freak intensity it's hard to beat. What are your thoughts on Heaven Forbid?

We share the same fear as far as Curse Of The Hidden Mirror goes. As it stands though, its a pretty good bookend to the BOC career of evil...

yeah man. don't know why electric mud is so underrated, It's so great album! and for most of the people iron butterfly is just the vida, i thinks thats a shame cause their other stuff is equally good, most of the songs are even better... I think ball is their best lp!

I haven't read those particular 33 1/3 books, but I have a half dozen others and they all rule. I didn't know there was one for Throbbing Gristle, I'll have to check that out; when I saw them at Coachella 09 it was legendary. And I always find it hilarious that John Darnielle loves metal.

I'm in the same boat that you were in. The BD Archive Set is probably the last hurdle for me to cross in the BOC Miscellanea discography. Your YouTube video convinced me. Someday soon I'll drop the $99 for the four-disc set. Too bad that Sony can't be bothered to remaster the rest of the catalogue...
