Hey chap... I know it's been a while. I just don't listen to much music now but I'm trying to change that. Things are OK here. The family are all good and are getting on with life. That little puppy we had is now a 3 year old 60kg dog that's built like a line backer. He takes up most of my free time so most of my other hobbies have taken a back step. Classic Rock voted The Cold Stares one of the top 50 albums of 2023 so I thought I'd give it a listen... glad I did. Listening to Crown Lands now... they remind me of another band but can't think who :)

Glad to hear you guys are doing ok. We are so super busy over here. My wife took over our cubscout pack as the pack leader and it's like having a second job. I'm ready for vacation now! I've been able to keep up with all the music though, working from home definitely has its advantages. It's pretty early in the year but so far record of the year for me is looking like Kacey Musgraves, her Deeper Well album is very easy to like. I rushed out and bought the vinyl the same weekend it came out.

Haven’t talked in a long time. Would you do me a favor? Please scrobble anything from artist name Tomomi Midair World. I’d like to see her get enough listeners to be in the similar artist lists. Regardless, hope you’re doing well.

You're right... It's been a while. Hope you and your family are well. Yeah, I had a chat with Tyson over FB. It was good to speak "face to face" . Due to Covid not much has happened here. Daughter's wedding has been postponed 3 times, hopefully it will happen later this year. We got a puppy... who's 5 months old now. There are some vid's on Youtube if you're interested.

Hey Dude.. glad you gave PRR a listen. I heard PT and The Pineapple Thief on there but that's no bad thing. It's certainly interesting enough for me to check out the other albums. Things are just the same over here for us. The UK is slowly coming out of lock down because the infection rate, the number of new Covid cases and the daily death rates are all on the downward. Non-essential shops can now open but the 2m social distancing is still in force, although watching the BLM protests you wouldn't know it. I here that Texas is becoming a hot spot for Covid, 2000 new cases per day... that must be a worry. What do you think about Trump asking people to sign a disclaimer that states they can't sue him if they catch Covid at one of his rallies? and I thought he said it was all a hoax. Sorry to here about that US pilot that died. It happened 80 miles from here off Flamborough Head (pron. Flam-bo-rah) so it was on the local news. Hope your family are OK and stay safe.

Yeah, Texas as a whole is seeing about 2000 plus cases a day. The caveat is that it is a pretty big state and we're all spread out for the most part at least outside of the bigger cities. My county is showing about 350 current active cases, not sure how fast that's growing, it is concerning but we're still doing what we're doing. Things have opened up but I don't know how many people are taking advantage of it. However we thought we'd go out to our favorite burger place which has outdoor seating on Saturday and we nixed it when we saw how many people were packed in the place. So, eating at home it is for the near future. Don't get me started on Trump and his supporters, hopefully come November we can correct this and get back on track.

My top 10 most listened to albums are 1- Clockwork Angels Rush, 2- Shrine of New Generation Slaves Riverside, 3- Walking Papers Walking Papers, 4- Head Down Rival Sons, 5- Ryan Adams Ryan Adams, 6- Amplifier Amplifier, 7- The Temperance Movement The Temperance Movement, 8- The Big Dream Lonely Robot, 9- The Deep End Gov't Mule, 10 The Bones of a Dying World If These Trees Could Talk. I was really surprised they are all by different artists. All Prog or Rock albums which came as no surprise at all.

Yeah... we're fine. We live in a very rural part of the country so it's easy to self isolate. I go out once a week for food shopping and pick up medication when required and that's it. The UK government are saying to expect this to last at least 3 months but maybe as long as 6. I've started reading the "Gormengast" trilogy again so that should keep me occupied for a while, I have all the music I could need, plenty of jobs around the house to do and I have some photographic ideas I want to try. How you guys holding up? what's the general feeling in the US? I see Trump's gone from "...it will be all over by Easter, there'll be a small number of infections & deaths..." to "...all Americans need to get ready for hard times ahead..."

We're hanging in there as well, kids are getting a bit antsy, not getting outside as much as it's been raining. We're doing the same as far as heading out just to do shopping. Luckily, alcohol is classified as an essential here so I was able to go out to our favorite local craft brewer and pick up a 64 oz growler full of our favorite beer. Also guns are apparently essential so we have the potential for a bunch of couped up drunk gun nuts, what could possibly go wrong? I think we're looking at this being the reality for the near future at least until summer and the leadership doesn't want to take the steps to stop the spread. Our governor here said church assemblies are ok, I'm hoping people here don't decide to keep going to church or we are going to be dealing with lots of infections. Day to day, it's just trying to maintain some positivity, exercising and walking as much as I can.

A bit of both. My Mother & Father-in-Law live us and they're both in their 80's so they are self isolating at home as per Government instructions. Mrs F. has health conditions that put her in the "at risk" category so she is "socially distancing" herself. That leaves me. I'm trying to keep my distance from people but someone's got to get the shopping right? As a family we're doing our best to stay away from potential infection and that's about all we can do. We live in the county of Lincolnshire and, the last I heard, there were 4 confirmed cases of the virus so the chances of us getting infected are very small. The UK Government has closed all schools from Friday, The local supermarket is rationing all items to a maximum of 4 per person. Things have changed very quickly.

We're doing the social distancing thing over here. I think my son is higher risk as he's had respiratory problems in the past. I can't believe how fast things have changed and it's going to be pretty tough going forward. I've seen some stuff suggesting that we could be dealing with this for up to 18 months, it'll be at least a year before they can get a vaccine out. I've already been working from home for the last couple years so that hasn't changed much but definitely not leaving the neighborhood except to go to the park to play with the kids. I bet I end up losing weight too, not eating out ever is probably going to help with that I would think. I talked to a friend out in California who has a shelter in place order with only 6 cases in their county. We're probably not too far behind on that either, they announced 4 cases yesterday here in our county. Problem is, they aren't testing nearly enough so there's probably quite a bit more out there that we don't know about.

I'm not a huge fan of KC. I like the Adrian Belew albums (Discipline, Beat, 3 of a Perfect Pair) and I quite like Red. Although "Providence" sounds like 7 minutes of tuning up to me. I think I've listened to all the KC studio albums over the years and, to be honest, I find them a bit hard work.
