Hi, I usually visit all my lastfm-friends a bit closer to new year to check out what they have been listening during the last 12 months. And at the same time leave some tips on what I have discovered last year. But anyhow here I'm now.:D. Late in the year I found [artist]Caitlin Canty[/artist] thru Kickstarter. Other discoveries during the year was [artist]Lake Street Dive[/artist], [artist]Austin Lucas[/artist], [artist]Nora Jane Struthers & The Party Line[/artist] and [artist]Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors[/artist] A band I'm looking forward to see live is [artist]JP Harris & The Tough Choices[/artist] But I still come back to my old heroes [artist]Van Morrison[/artist] and [artist]Emmylou Harris[/artist]. Listened to almost all of their albums during 2014. Have a great 2015.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm liking the album so far (a more glossly / layered production is well done), esp. [track artist=Holly Golightly & The Brokeoffs]Can't Pretend[/track]. In other news, another rock'n'roll couple [artist]Cowbell[/artist] promise a début album soon - worth looking out for. Also, (slight blast from the past), I think you might like the song/dance stylings of [artist]Singing Sadie[/artist] *le pant*

Ya, it is the genre derived from music composed using turn tables. And when looking into DJ Shadow, look into specifically DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist. They put out tracks usually 25-30 minutes on vinyl, Side A and Bs... can be found digitally. You can search them on Last.Fm... best searching and finding great music.

Thank you for your comments. Metal Fingers is a beautiful specimen. Concerning instrumentals. I personally tag Metal Fingers, MF Doom's alias who produces the beats, as instrumental hip-hop as you said, but mainly turntablism. I would tell you to look into DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist, Kid Koala, and RJD2... best to you, and keep expanding those earbuds.

well I've never been a huge fan of Daft Punk, to be honest. their loopy style was kind of boring to me. apart from some huge hits and highlights like e.g. "one more time" or "around the world". my favourite albums of theirs are "alive" and music for Tron - I can say I love these two. because they sound different. ....as much as I respect them for taking that leap with RAM - I don't think I'll come back to that album very often. OR it's a grower like some Autechre albums and I shall bark that back after a while. we'll see :) but hey, screw Daft Punk - man, listen to THIS if you haven't already: http://youtu.be/2jTg-q6Drt0 - that's what I call "bringing life to music" big time. I haven't heard such a massive tune for a long while. I have very good feelings about that new album.

hi there ! well I think it's not bad. but that's after only one listen. I'm preparing myself for another listen - maybe today ? A few tracks already stand out for me. Despite all the hate I can see for "lucky" - I like that track [and I LovE the shreds version]. I also like ''within'', the panda bear track, giorgio track. The last track is also very cool. That makes it 5 tracks I can already remember and enjoy. Not bad. The rest of the tracks on this album: seem weaker in comparison but maybe they're growers. Or need certain frame of mind. Or are party tracks. Or girlie tracks. Dunno. What's your opinion ?

Thank you, and no I haven't! I'm actually not into that band (The Babies) I have an ex-friend who loves them. Should I check it out? Things are actually great as of now, I've been going through some shit just like anybody else but I'm trying to stay positive. What's up with you?

hey! it's a genre that's been up lately and it's kinda difficult to describe, so i won't try it with my bad english, just check it [url=http://rateyourmusic.com/genre/vaporwave]here[/url]. but actually my shout was a joke, i just find one of [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug0y1ZhdHT0]boc's "trapped" edit[/url] really ~vaporwavey~, just compare it to other vaporwave tunes like [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPq5wsMn7JU]this[/url] and [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ9RdGJ9DYo]this[/url] and you'll see it haha
