"Shelter from the Storm" is among Bob Dylan's most famous and beloved compositions. It is the penultimate song on Dylan's 1975 album Blood on the Tracks. The lyrics of the song depicts a man seeking salvation and protection through the love of a woman. The version heard on the album is the fifth take of the song. According to his website, Dylan played the song 376 times between 1976 and 2015.
