I really like modern production (in general), but this kind of isn't that good for me. And i meant music details in my post, not mix.

Jeff's vocal is stronger than ever, but Steer should share some of the vocals too, they have a good dinamic

Great album that really summarized elements from Necroticism, Heartwork, and even Swansong. Melodies, leads, harmonies, speed, hooks, groove, all of the above. Some complain, but I love the production of this album, especially the guitar tone. IMO, this comeback album is quite possibly their best work.

I was to afraid to listen to SS for the longest time. Big mistake. This sounds like a mix between Necroticism and Heartwork. An unmistakably Carcass sounding album! [2]

Seems like they structured the whole album as a journey through their own history: starting with a short instrumental from their first demo, then a raw, almost primitive song, and then progressively incorporating melodic elements until the slower, multi-sectionned closer.

Totally dig it. Would've liked it with a somewhat rawer production (especially less plastic-sounding drums), but the songs are great!
