Biography
Cemetery Drive or CEM DRIVE are a product of the Internet Age. Founded in 2018, the international group combines the high energy and in-your-face attitude of punk rock with the rhythm and style of hip-hop music.
Taking inspiration from the early 2000s alternative rock group, My Chemical Romance, founder Cloud Mac named the group Cemetery Drive after a song off of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.
Most of Cemetery Drive’s members met online, playing video games and interacting in a niche music community on Twitter and SoundCloud. From the streets of São Paulo to the busy roads of Rome, from inner-city Detroit, to the idyllic countryside’s of the United Kingdom, Cemetery Drive boast an extremely diverse roster. They all faced unique issues, but one, common amongst them all, and most crucial to their formation, was isolation. Being apart was what brought them together.
The group kicked off 2019 with the aim of releasing one single per month for the entire year. These releases, which arrive on the 25th of each month, have led to their fanbase amicably calling each release day “Cem Drive Day”.
With an insatiable hunger for success, and the incredible amount of versatility that comes with their diversity, Cemetery Drive hope to bring their music to the whole world.
Cemetery Drive consist of Cloud Mac, Atwood, Thiago, Whyandotte, Chris Wright, Bluknight, polearm, Miles Powers and art director Noa Scripture.
