Melt My Eyez See Your Future is Denzel Curry’s fifth studio album and was released on March 25, 2022. Denzel has said that the album is inspired by “a combination of what’s going on right now in the world” and films by the famous Japanese director Akira Kurosawa.

After admitting to his fans that he doesn’t feel the same when rapping anymore, it’s clear that the album will be a reinvention of Curry’s sound and feature more singing and softer sounds than past albums. On the album, he was also inspired by genres such as traditional hip-hop, jazz, poetry, neo-soul, and drum and bass.

On January 5, 2022, the trailer for the album was released. The credits at the end of the trailer showcased a list of the vocalists that would be featured on the album, including slowthai, T-Pain, JID, Rico Nasty, 6LACK, 454, Buzzy Lee, and Bridget Perez. The album will also feature a wide range of producers, such as Cardo, Powers Pleasant, JPEGMAFIA, Kenny Beats, Boi-1da, Thundercat, Robert Glasper, FnZ, and more.

The album’s lead single, “Walkin,” was released on January 24, 2022, after it was teased on social media. The album’s second single, “Zatoichi,” featuring slowthai, was released on February 24, 2022.

On March 17, Denzel announced in an Instagram post the official tracklist – also revealing the producers of each song – and the cover art for the album.
