Essential Punk compilation. Gary Floyd is one of the best characters in the history of Punk, especially Texas Punk, where he was an inspiration to all sorts of musicians who came along in his wake, including the Butthole Surfers, who named a song after him. He's got a powerful voice and a ton of charisma, best witnessed in the amazing live tracks here ("Saturday Night at the Bookstore," "Wheelchair Epidemic" and "Shit on Me" being the best), but he's excellent throughout. This covers their various iterations, as a Punk Blues band, as an early and extremely confrontational Hardcore band and as a more politically oriented DKs/Minutemen-esque band. The disc is a bit long for this type of thing (nearly an hour), but I'm not sure what I would've cut to get it down to a more manageable length because what's here is basically uniformly excellent.
