Despite lacking the gritty guitar sound the first 2 albums have Winterbane and Call of the North are great. Got into listening to both. "Black Heart" is just an amazing track that actually has a bit of gritty guitar sound to it. Solo is awesome.

Also, Frozen Crown has the honor of being in my top 50 bands 🤘. They earned it. 4 amazing albums.

actually I should note that the Call Of the North has that more gritty guitar sound. Not as noticeable and was overlooked. Gotta pay closer attention but noticed there was a lack of it on Winterbane.

Another awesome offering. I think though that Winterbane is my least fave tbh, but in saying that; they’ve delivered the goods and a quality album once again, and there’s no denying that these guys know how to deliver consistent albums and a joyful experience every time. 3 from 3 so far. So much fun to listen to. Props to the new members as well, they did a great job and have proven themselves as worthy recruits.

I only listened to Winterbane once, but I was hoping for the guitar sounding style I think it wasn't there as much, hard to describe but the wall of raw (and classic) guitar drone noise from "Unspoken" and other tracks on Crowned In Frost is just amazing. Wished more metal bands did this.

Nice username! 😎 Hope ya revisited Winterbane. It gets better the more ya hear it but still remains my least fav. I think i know what ya mean man, i'd need to hear it again. They not long announced album 4 "Call of the North" [March 10]. Keen to get back on a FC marathon to get ready for that one. I thought Winterbane's artwork was good, this is by far their best yet.

Well my usernsme was when I was still into Spineshank and other nu metal/metalcore. But discovered other metal stuff on here. I could change it but decided to keep it. Anyway i haven't revisited the album as of yet. Doesn't necessarily mean it was really bad. I eventually will revisit, most likely when the 4th album comes out that I had no idea they were working on so that's going to be on my waiting list. The artwork is indeed a great cover. I thought it was really cool.

Looks like the band will have a new look this year with Alberto, Thalia and Filippo having all left last year to work on personal projects. I wonder if those plans were predetermined before hand or if the events of Covid has played a role and claimed more musicians while left with their thoughts for too long.it’s a shame either way but it could’ve been worse as I honestly thought I was about to read a statement saying they were disbanding after releasing the next album. At the end of the day as long as Federico and Giada remain and everyone’s still on good terms with one another then that’s what matters. Still hope Thalia’s lead guitar input remains on the new album as I believe (as far as I know) it was the first time she got to contribute

My biggest problem with today's power metal that they basically play pop music but with heavy metal sounds and instruments... Frozen Crown is different! Finally a solid power metal band with a unique female voice. Cool guitar themes and riffs and all in all is a refreshing experience. When I was younger back in the '90s I listened Labyrinth, Helloween and other classic power bands and I'm really glad that Frozen Crown follows but also extends that path layed down by the classic bands.

Really loving these guys. In the recent months i'm discovering some quality female fronted power metal coming out of Italy. Frozen Crown, Temperance (Still Need to hear the first album but loved last years release), Kalidia, as well as Ancient Bards (only heard the new one but enjoyed it). Great stuff!

Nice to have some *good* new power metal after the fairly disastrous Battle Beast album.

Crowned In Frost is more Power Metal than their debut. Less growls. Which is pretty awesome.
