Columbus (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack for the 2017 movie of the same name ("Columbus"), directed by Kogonada. It was nominated to the Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Screenplay.
While the movie was released on August 4th 2017 (USA), the soundtrack was released on Hammock's bandcamp on November 3rd of the same year.
It is the thirteenth full-lenght release by Hammock.
Kogonada sought out Hammock to create the soundtrack after reading an interview with the band. “They were talking about the relationship between absence and presence in their music – which was a mind-blowing moment – and I thought, ‘They have to be the music for this film.’”
