he really went on to write "If I told you I killed a nigga at sixteen, would you believe me? Perceive me to be innocent Kendrick you seen in the street With a basketball and some Now and Laters to eat? If I mentioned all of my skeletons, would you jump in the seat? Would you say my intelligence now is great relief? And it's safe to say that our next generation maybe can sleep With dreams of bein' a lawyer or doctor Instead of boy with a chopper that hold the cul-de-sac hostage Kill 'em all if they gossip The Children of the Corn, they vandalizin' the option Of livin' a lie, drown their body with toxins Constantly drinkin' and drive Hit the powder, then watch this flame that arrive in his eye"

m.A.A.d city incident: Ah yes, in May of 2018, Kendrick would headline Hangout Music Festival fresh off of completing the first two legs of the DAMN. tour in North America and Europe. The concert was going great, with Kendrick performing several of his hits before moving onto m.A.A.d city, a menacing track with a beat drop that has defined Kendrick’s concerts ever since it was released back in 2012. Kendrick would infamously invite a fan on stage to perform the track with him, more specifically a white fan. However, the fan would rap all the lyrics to the chorus, including the multiple n-words that the chorus prominently uses. Kendrick ends up stopping the song to lecture the girl until the crowd boos her off stage, with the hard-to-watch moment being a source of great debate within the hip-hop community for years to come.
