"Something that has connected us as a band is listening to music that gives you the feeling of escapism. That’s our personal high. We as a band have that in common – and the high is what we’re addicted to, which is why we decided to call the album 'Season High'. Yukimi Nagano stated in an interview for the new album. The follow-up to the Grammy-nominated 'Nabuma Rubberband' (2014), 'Season High' was released on April 14, 2017 ; the band's fifth record. The album was recorded with the help of James Ford and Patrik Berger. Upon release, Yukimi Nagano stated, "For this album, we tried to not give a fuck about anything…Season High feels more focused. There was a lot of joy in making it, and we wanted to make sure we felt like we regained our focus. We’re suckers for escapism and how you can make the grey, mundane everyday a little bit magical by listening to music."
