All Destructive Urges… Seem So Perfect is the debut album for Lowercase that released between in May 7th, 1996 after signing to the Amphetamine Reptile Records label. Before the release of this album, Lowercase had three singles under their name. One of them being, Two Songs. Which released under the Punk In My Vitamins record label in 1994. Two Songs notably has the track, Sometimes I Feel Like A Vampire
, a song that would end up being the seventh track for this album.

All Destructive Urges takes on noise rock and post-hardcore sound while taking on slowcore, emo and almost lo-fi undertones that can be heard through their early tracks and singles like, Brass Tacks, and Sunfire Solvent. As a result, their slowcore influenced, avant-garde sound managed to captivate a lot of listeners and admirers and separate themselves from their contemporaries at the time like Unwound or another post-hardcore band that was most notable for being signed onto the same label as them; Today Is The Day

After the release of this album, the band would from Palm Desert to San Francisco. In which they would later disband at in 2000.
