Certainly their best album, and WAY better than everything they released before it. I really hope they continued with the atmospheric elements on Feuerwalze.

Does someone know where the cover photo originates from? And absolutely fantastic album, especially the first track.

Quote from metal-archives.com: "The cover art is based off a World War I-era photograph taken by an unknown photographer from the German Empire's 10th Army (Armeeoberkommando 10) in 1916. It features an Austrian sniper on slope of the Gisnitz, a peak in the Karnische Alpen range."

Thanks! Not sure why I didn't check on metal archives myself before posting this comment.

Probably the very first Minenwerfer album that focused on more emotionally-driven musicianship with atmospheric, melodic and acoustic influences. Strongly represents how the World War I battles left major psychological and melancholic emotional scars to every soldiers fighting from every side. Whilst the band maintained their intensely-paced songwriting on few tracks, like the intense nature of the battlefield, accompanied with devastated-sounding harsh vocals as if it resonates how shell-shocked, traumatized soldiers are shrieking in their hearts. You will not regret listening to this album!
