Never understood Rammstein. In the 00s, I liked to listen to them, I even had this album on the disc. BUT! I still don't like them that much

I prefer more Herzleid than Sehnsucht but nevertheless this is strong release, and the first Rammstein album i have heard. Favorite tracks: Sehnsucht, Bestrafe Mich,Du Hast.

Herzeleid is darker and more brutal though, I think. Not trying to say that this one is bad, but it is more like a move towards a more accessible sound based on the sound they had on the debut. Has some cooler samples here and there, some songs may be easier to remember and it is still quite the same style as on debut, but with overall balance switched a bit more from guitar driven sound to keyboards and samples (just a bit, not saying about a huge shift). But it has less fat maybe, and vocal delivery was more convincing (not sure if it is the right word) on Herzelied. Vocals on debut are pure testosterone. The voice sounds absolutely metallic (and I'm talking here not even in the sense of musical style but in sense of metal as an actual matter). And it sounds really dark there. On Senhnsught sometimes it gives me an impression as if Till is more like parodying himself from the debut. Again, not trying to trash Sehnsucht. This one is still pretty solid.

Every single piece of this is awesome, no doubt their most kinky ultimate era.
