Definitely they are not only Born to Be Wild. Many people consider them as one hit wonder but the first album from 1968, Steppenwolf is a real thing. Everyone must listen to it \o/

They were never one hit wonders. It's just that after 50 years, only one of their songs has survived in the unconditional mainstream, so people think they haven't written anything else. It's like Europe, who were huge stars in their time, and now everyone knows only one their song.

Может быть это просто не ваше? Судя по вашим статам, вы не то чтобы большой фанат той музыки. Или я ошибаюсь?

Я немного другое имел ввиду. Что люди часто говорят, что что-то плохая музыка только потому что это не в их вкусе.

I wasn't aware of their 70's discography. Slow Flux is great, the guitar solo in A Fool's Fantasy is crazy good.

{Instrumental} I like to vaxx, yes, yes Right between the dog machine On an Impossible Whopper I chew in the night Any place it goes is right Goes far, flies near To the stars or another Burger King Well, you don't know what we can find Why don't you come with me, little dog On a magic Science ride You don't know what valuable Science we can obtain from this Why don't you give your dogs to me Science experiments will set them free [Chorus] Close your eyes, dog Look inside, dog Let Dr. Fauci take you away {Instrumental}

Steppenwolf was synonymous with the sixties counter-culture. Led by the great vocals of John Kay. So much more; than just 'Born To Be Wild', and 'The Pusher'. Their songs became teen anthems. These were some great rock sets. Try some of their songs, that didn't receive endless airplay like: 'Jupiter's Child', 'Hey Lawdy Mama', or Kay; growling-out 'Hoochie Coochie Man' by Willie Dixon. Peace Out!

I got around to actually getting albums by them and I must say that I'm impressed. I like the self-titled debut album the most so far. At Your Birthday Party has some good stuff. I'm up to Early Steppenwolf. Not one bad song by 'em.

Man, I wonder why are they so utterly underrated? These guys basically helped out to define Rock and Metal music.

One of the biggest bands of the highest rated subgenre of the highest rated genre of the highest rated period of modern popular music, and people in this shoutbox are STILL calling them underrated. Classic rock fans are the worst.
