“Hell of a Night” sounds sonically, lyrically and structurally similar to Kanye West’s 2010 tracks “Hell of a Life,” and “Dark Fantasy.”
Later, in an interview, Kylie Jenner admitted that this was her favorite Travis Scott track.
In the famous YouTube video entitled “Kylie Jenner Asks Travis Scott 23 Questions | GQ,” Travis Scott answered a question about Kylie Jenner’s favorite La Flame rap song, which he correctly identified as “Hell of a Night”:
"ahhh, Hell of a Night?… Actually a long, long, long, long, long, long long, long time ago. It was like my first mixtape. I just remember I dropped that mixtape and I got an Instagram and she’d made this video of her where she was like, swimming in a pool."
