“Delicious Things” is the second track on Wolf Alice’s third album "Blue Weekend". This narrative song is backed by hi-hats, reggae bass, and chords.
The track describes a transformative and, in some ways, unnerving experience in Los Angeles. In this song, lead singer Ellie Rowsell sings about the new experiences found in a party in LA, but as we get an insight into her stream of consciousness, we see her worry that she’ll be trapped in the glamorous world, and doubts on whether she truly belongs there.
This song has been praised lavishly by critics. Guitar.com described it as a “simply glorious pop tune” and “perhaps the most compelling song Wolf Alice have ever conceived”.
