Biography
Yoon Sang (윤상) is a South Korean composer, record producer, singer and songwriter. He started his career as a composer in 1988, writing 여름밤의 꿈 for Kim Hyunsik 's 4th album. Two years later, in 1990, he made his debut as a singer by releasing his first full-length album, 'Yoon Sang'. Additionally, he continued his career as a composer by writing hit songs such as Kim Minwoo's 입영열차 안에서 and Kang Soo Jee's 보라빛향기. Starting from the late 90's, the he delved more into musical experimentation, and became lauded as one of the pioneers in the Korean music scene, bringing in genres like electronica, synthpop, IDM, tango and brit-pop into the Korean mainstream.
He was a member of the K-Pop composing trio One Piece (with Davink and Spacecowboy), that notably produced much of the music of the group Lovelyz. He also wrote for acts such as IU, Uhm Jung Hwa, BoA, TVXQ, EXO-CBX, Gain, Tim, Lim Jae Bum, Jang Hye Jin, Suzy, Rainbow Blaxx and others.
