city morgue are the only good thing to come out of this dogshit subgenre. everything else ive heard is just screamo rap, no metal elements at all and zero musicality

If you want some decent "trap metal" go check Man Ov God. It's a side project of Impending Doom vocalist Brook Reeves.

the "Metal" here is about influence and a more allegorical part in the name, sometimes some artists really use samples and vocals straight from Metal, I've even heard some gutturals in some projects, but it's not what defines the style, anyway it's not something literal

I can fuck with that I also thought of "aggrotrap" as a name, wondering if people can dig that

I mean you can't just make up your own term for a genre like that and tbh I doubt it'd go viral because last.fm isnt that popular to begin with

Anyone can make up a term since all genres are made up to begin with lol, it's just a matter of enough people recognizing/liking it. It already has multiple names too.

Can understand your assessment of the genre but in terms of subgenre influence/sound, I'm not hearing much of either of those two. There's an industrial element to it, sure, and aesthetically it is "dark", but from hip-hop alone I'm personally not hearing much but a "modern"/trap influence. Definitely wouldn't put any of these guys alongside artists like dälek or Gravediggaz, totally different sounds to me!
