Hey, Morris. I read 'The House of Mirth' this summer... took me a while to get round to it. But I did like it. Thank-you for the reco. Poor Lily Bart. I'm going to end up on ether in some boarding house. ha! I see what you mean. ;)

Thanks for looking at my videos again. Yes, the the journey theme will continue. My current idea is to connect all of the alphabet paintings together into a long movie and join my other videos together following various themes incuding the journey. The latest one "Painting-P Dartmoor Landscape" is in both the painting collection and is also a journey.

It seems all I ever do is set up my lo-fi studio these days. I am in no hurry believe me but I hope one day we can.

I try to tell my friends to listen to many of my songs at once. Some get it some don't. But when they finally do what I suggest a light goes off. When I listened to both of those albums together I couldn't stop. I didn't want to stope. I was waiting to find what awaited me around every corner. I do enjoy melodies and rhythm...all the things that makes music but really I just don't appreciate it enough unless it takes me on a journey on a path to a new town or to an old house with a room with all sorts of old fashioned toys. This is only part of the images and journey I had. I truly would love, at the right timing, to work with you in creating an experience collaboration. If it is supposed to happen, it will.

Thanks Morris. I was surprised by the negative comment from Niklando. People are usually more broadminded when listening to Apskaft work. If they're not then they usually don't even bother listening to it.

Sure, I appreciate it. Honestly, I appreciate just your interest. I was pretty happy when I thought you would be on the album. Your humor is something that is needed for this project but I understand.

Any art or images? Anything will work, trust me on that, except vulgarity but you already know that. I need a lot more images/artwork. If it is possible it would be great.

thanks, i missed it. did you catch it? i'm sure it was great. i've seen him live many many times and it was always great and always totally different. when i first caught him nearly 20 years ago he played like he was trying to destroy the building and i sometimes felt that he would. i've rarely have had the hair on the back of my neck raised for a solid hour.

of course, no worries. I plan on putting it out next Wednesday, if for some reason you can put something together, let me know. I am also in great need of samples or original spoken word, poetry that could tie in the concept of the title "Xmas 2010 The Year Santa Couldn't make contact. This can be in any language too. Cheers!

Do you use a PC or a Mac? Also, have you ever looked into Ubuntu Studio? It is a Linux operating system that is completely free and has Audio, Video software that comes with it for free.

I need to get on vimeo more. Don't use it enough but I should cause that is where I started Video Glitch. Have you found any interesting uses with vimeo that are somewhat as useful as some of the lost features of last.fm? In other words, I need to find things that will keep me on the site.

December first but please..you just found out about it...If you can get it in by then great but if not asap. The sooner the better of course because I plan on doing a seamless mix with the album without chopping out any of the music of course....let me know.

Whoops! that URL didn't copy properly. If you copy and paste the whole thing from http://www.kvraudio.com/get.php?mode=results&st=adv&soft[]=e& onwards through soft[]=h&type[]=70&type[]=72&type[]=82&type[]=59&type[]=19&type[]=12&type[]=65&type[]=23&type[]=22&type[]=18&type[]=15&type[]=71&type[]=66&type[]=90&type[]=64&type[]=73&type[]=78&type[]=79&type[]=76&type[]=13&type[]=17&type[]=69&type[]=91&type[]=68&type[]=11&type[]=67&type[]=80&type[]=74&type[]=58&f[]=vst&linux=1&osx=1&win=1&free=1&sf=0&receptor=&de=0&sort=1&rpp=100 It will take you to the KVRaudio search page for freeware VST effects and hosts.

(continued from previous shout) Then I use various VST effects in VSThost or Audacity to get different sounds, reverb, chorus, roomsize, distortion, pitch change, etc. I recommend www.kvraudio.com where you can find hundreds of freeware virtual amps and guitar effects: http://www.kvraudio.com/get.php?mode=results&st=adv&soft[]=e&soft[]=h&type[]=70&type[]=72&type[]=82&type[]=59&type[]=19&type[]=12&type[]=65&type[]=23&type[]=22&type[]=18&type[]=15&type[]=71&type[]=66&type[]=90&type[]=64&type[]=73&type[]=78&type[]=79&type[]=76&type[]=13&type[]=17&type[]=69&type[]=91&type[]=68&type[]=11&type[]=67&type[]=80&type[]=74&type[]=58&f[]=vst&linux=1&osx=1&win=1&free=1&sf=0&receptor=&de=0&sort=1&rpp=100

Possibly... it depends how you prefer to work. I don't use an amp. I have a little mini amp but I seldom use it. I just plug the big jackplug into the guitar and the small jackplug into the computer's 'line in' socket and do all the amping through the computer. there are a few menu options to play around with to get the right sound level etc. but an actual amp would only be burning extra power for no reason. The computer's sound card should be able to amp the sound just fine. (continued in next shout)

Example of the difference in sound: The track: http://www.last.fm/music/Speculativism/Pauper+at+the+Gates+of+Dorking/Cryogenic+Pod+Malfunction is recorded with electric guitar plugged in. Whereas the track: http://www.last.fm/music/Speculativism/War+and+Peace/The+Fluxus+Song is unplugged and recorded through my digital headset mike.

I record the electric guitar in two ways. First way: I get one sort of sound by plugging the cable directly into the "line in" socket and then recording into either Audacity, VSThost or Magix Music Maker. These are my three preferred softwares for recording music. In each of these softwares it's essential to set the preferences so it's recording properly through the correct input. Once the preferences are set to record from "line in" and the guitar is attached, some adjustments will be necessary to get the correct levels. Second way: I also sometimes record the guitar through a digital microphone. The type I use is a headset intended for skype type of thing. The difference in sound is enormous. Whereas the first way records electric guitar via analogue plug, the second way records me hitting the strings acoustically but through a digital mike. So it's electric versus accoustic and analogue versus digital. They produce very different sounds. Then I apply post-processing effects.

My guess would be silliness. It doesn't resemble any phrase or anything. Nice find, though!

Heheh, where's that from? It's "we spoke Finnish with a tomato", but the words are written in the way they are spoken.
