Now I have something you need to check out. I don't know if it's because of my inexperience with electronic music (I thought I had listened to my fair share of the wubwubs) but I could swear I've never heard anyone use glitches like they are used here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKGChj969is - The author writes on twitter (@HeroicFourth): "im not proud of everything before this upcoming album because it was all just random sounds thrown together, i didnt write any of it." Not all tracks on "Sounds For The Mind" are good but "Changes" definitely hit a mark.

I had a hunch that was the case (there are pictures of him on your tumblr). You can tell him that I like the name, halfsad. The track itself is good, too (from the batch of H band tracks I listened to in May, it was one of the best and most memorable). Also, tell him to release an EP or something. I stumbled on it only because it begins with H and was a free download, but an EP could go a long way to getting more listeners. I would not be above shamelessly plugging it in future /mu/ sharethreads. Sometimes I do that - [artist]A Decent Man[/artist] gained some listeners when I plugged him (e.g. this). Also, it's cool that you're a musical couple. I recall the man-wife duo named [artist]Celer[/artist] who made ambient music for museums. The wife sadly died some years ago, but working on music with a partner seemed to work out great for them. With your punky and his electronic dispositions something great could come of it, I'm sure.

As to binge listening to your top albums, that's also due to my odd musical dispositions. I sometimes pick a last.fm profile that I like (usually friends or just people with a cool taste in music) and go through their overall top albums with the understanding that those albums are listened to so much because there must be something good about them. (I go through a lot of garbage as well, so that's nice for a change.) You happened to leave your shout right when I was in the mood to change my current playlist (which started to get repetitive with some 90s hip-hop), so I decided to see what you listen to. Many albums from your top I've already heard, but some were genuinely surprising. Foxing, for example, is awesome. The variety of sounds they employ makes them a fun listen. I only wish that the recordings were louder. And I wouldn't have known about them if I hadn't taken up your top albums. There is so much music out there and I'm one for finding the good stuff, by any means necessary.

Oh, halfsad. My favourite band when I was 7-12-yo was [artist]A-Ha[/artist]. After that I became a total hip-hop head. But when I was 19-20-yo I decided to broaden my musical horizon and listen to everything else music has to offer. Coincidentally, I developed a fascination with bands with names that begin with either the article A (e.g. A Tribe Called Quest, A Perfect Circle, etc.), or the letter H. I even published a small booklet with about 1250 names of article A bands. I thought that would be the end of it, but new bands with such names pop up endlessly. So in May this year I went through like 50 pages of new bandcamp music, and downloaded a bunch of albums by bands like A Devils Din, A Few Loose Skrews, A Murder of Angels (e.g. new article A bands) and hundreds of H bands, halfsad among them. I have over 10,000 bands in my library because I listen to music like a collector, or "a neophilic melomaniac", if you will.

Hi. My name is Celer Tambre. I'm a 25-yo university student in humanities at Tartu, Estonia. I listen to anything and everything but my favourite genre is hip-hop, and, moreover, a specific variety called jazz-hop. I like melancholic music, e.g. like this. I'm a Cerebrotonic robot. Academically, I specialize on nonverbal communication, or so-called "body language". I've read hundreds of books about it and know the theory of it through and through, all the while being an awkward observer in practice. I'm currently way into 19th century Scottish Common Sense Realism and preparing to write a thesis about an anonymous book in that tradition, titled "The Alternative". What about you?
