JAHTARI:

Jahtari is a German dub/reggae label specializing in what they call Digital Laptop Reggae. Jahtari focus on the collision between the free form aesthetics and rhythm of dub/reggae music and the inelastic nature of computer based electronica. Both stylistic movements focus heavily on experimental production techniques, providing a unique starting point for Jahtari’s artists to begin genre bending. Make sure to check out their vast catalog - the music is as interesting as it sounds.

DISRUPT:

Disrupt is creating quite a storm throughout the reggae and dubstep world, a purveyor of the 8-Bit sound backed by modern computer muscle, Disrupts album Foundation Bit sold out in a day and required immediate repress, packed with nuff original productions in his unique style as well is his takes on classic riddims. He is described by Thom Yorke as the act to check for something unique in dubstep and he is also championed by Mary Anne Hobbs. Next level dub biziness!

DJ ORIGIN:

It all began in the early 90s when back at school where Origin was a drummer , playing various in orchestral shows, and was selected to play at the highest level which gave him his First musical insight. Living in North West London was the beginning where he met and was influenced by mark (reinforced) which was a label founded in Dollis Hill.
At this point had got into Hip hop/ (Phat Laces-Break Dancing) Acid (Strobes-Smoke Machines) Hardcore (Warehouse,Bass,Love) Early Record collection T99- Anastasia, Rebel Mc-Wickedest Sound, Manix-Feel Good. By this time he had started going to parties like Orange Telepathy, Elevation, Tasco Warehouse, Desire, Dreamscape & introduced to pirate radios such as..Kool fm.. Defection..Weekend Rush.. Fm..Don Fm.
Within this period of time Origin naturally got into deejaying around 96 and started playing a slot on a west London community radio (Sky fm) . First memories of playing was at Notting hill in front of thousands and feeling the buzz from the crowd reaction was the turning point. This gave Origin the experience to get into pirate radios going on to play on stations such as Reload Fm, Flex Fm, Ice Fm, Transmission 1, Jive Fm, Freeze Fm, Life Fm, Ruudawakening.
Around 1999 Origin wanted more of a career out of music and decided to study sound engineering at college. After passing that opened doors and went on to gain experience in various shops and labels including: Planet Phat , Moving Shadow, Central Intelligence, Renegade Hardware Vinyl mania.
In 2003 Origin and friend ( Pleasure) decided to start a small party called Soup which involved upfront flavours for all genres of dnb. This gave them the taste for promoting parties and went .. a night in Watford called (Future Sounds). Within this time Origin had built a rapport and played alongside various djs including, Chase n Status..Andy C..Hazard to name a few.
Dj Origin has now secured his show on the “Multi Award winning world renound Kool Fm” on Tuesdays 7-9(gmt) .
Currently working on different projects with various labels including, Smokin' Riddims, Function, Calypso ,Pure Vibe , Music Hertz, Low Down Deep, Nam , to name a few. Within the last year has been getting support from top djs threw out the dnb scene.
DJ Origins underground beings have been stretched over last 12 years and continue playing in various venues across UK and Europe. The Future is bright …..as the journey continues!!!!!!
