duo of aidan baker + leah buckareff making music that encompasses experimental/drone, ambient, shoegazer, + doom metal.

... depicts a world priarie's or tundra, with permafrost on top and a chilly wind touching that one tree that's left. Clearly inspired by lots of ambient post-rock guitar bands but with a strong enough voice of his own...
OVO (Milan, Italy)
are a two piece using guitar/violin/cellos and drums that dump a toxic sludge with an unmistakable butterscotch scent. This sludge is in line with contemporaneous doom salesmen such as Boris and the Melvins, with the addition of vox stylings that take this record to a new place entirely. The sounds coming from Stehania Pedretti's mouth as she sings go from lullaby sweet to terrifyingly raw in short intervals. This is not your mother's doom record.
