Description
Melbourne progressive/art rock band Mushroom Giant headline Revolver upstairs Saturday November 7th, leading a night of spectacular live music.
MUSHROOM GIANT has always approached music as an art form. Liberated as an instrumental band and devoid of the usual clichés a permanent singer usually brings, Mushroom Giant has, with their 2008 release, “Kuru”, earned themselves a reputation as one of Australia’s premier instrumental bands. Their live performances transcend the conventional rock band with mesmerising compositions ranging from delicate classical arrangements with subtle shifts in shade, to intensely exerted barrages of howling guitars and drums - supported by visual projections of stunning imagery that thoughtfully complement each song.
Joining them on the night is a fantastic selection of some of the best bands Melbourne has to offer from a range of styles and genres: A STATE OF FLUX (doing a special "electronic set"), CLOUD CITY, & SHERIFF.
