N O I S I A

Noisia je holandské drum'n'bassové hudobné trio zložené z členov Nika Roosa, Martijna van Sonderena a Thijsa de Vliegera z Gronigenu v Holandskuu. Momentálne okrem drum'n'bassu produkujú široké spektrum hudby, vrátane house a breakbeatu. Noisia vystupuje po celom svete a vlastní tri nahrávacie značky - Vision, Division a Invisible Recordings.

Martijn, ktorý bol úzko spätý s hudbou už dlhšiu dobu (hip-hop, klasické piáno), úspešne kolaboroval s Nikom a Thijsom na spoločných hudobných projektoch, ktoré neskôr priniesli ovocie. Nik a Thijs ho preto prijali medzi seba, ako stáleho člena Noisie. Po čase zistili, že Internet je skvelý nástroj na získanie hudobných a producentských znalostí a v neposlenom rade aj na získanie kritiky od verejnosti. Prvá skladba Noisie sa objavila na Mayhemovom fóre Shadow Law Recordings a získala veľké ohlasy, čo bolo veľkou motiváciou pre zlepšenie zvuku Noisie. Investícia do štúdiového vybavenia a oddanosť zvuku, mixovaniu pohli vecami a vo februári 2003 uzrela svetlo sveta prvá platňa s trackom Tomahawk (Noisia & Mayhem) na Nerve Recordings. Na druhej strane bol track Silicon, ktorý bol vytvorený v opileckých stavoch po dňoch, kedy Mayhem navštívil Noisiu v Holandsku.

Noisia, also spelled in capital letters NOISIA, is a Dutch Electronic music (Drum and bass) trio consisting of members Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger from Groningen, The Netherlands. They now produce a wide variety of music including House and Breaks. Noisia perform across the world and own three record labels (Vision, Division and Invisible Recordings).

Counterstrike zohral významnú úlohu pri zviditeľnení Južnej Afriky na mape svetového drum and bassu. Justin Scholtemeyer AKA Animal Chin a Eaton Crous AKA 500 Mills sú aktívnymi djmi už od skorých 90`tych rokov. Vystupovali po celej Južnej Afrike, v Anglicku, Nemecku, Nórsku, Polsku, Belgicku, Holandsku, Rakúsku, alebo Švédsku.

Ako duo, pod hlavičkou projektu Counterstrike, produkujú Justin a Eaton od roku 1998. "Pracujeme spolu, pretože máme obaja radi rovnaký zvuk...nezáleží či urobíme track spolu alebo oddelene, stále znie ako Counterstrike”. “Mám diplom po ukončení trojročného štúdia zvukového technika (zvukár), takže som zodpovedný za výsledný zvuk všetkých nahrávok Counterstrike”, dodáva Justin.

Tracky “Pressure/Questions” bol ich prvý releas, ktorý uzrel svetlo sveta na vinyle. Umožnilo to vydavateľstvo Allied Recordings. Práve táto platňa bola odrazovým mostíkom, vďaka ktorému vydala juhoafrická dvojka doteraz už vyše 20 úspešných 12" na prestížnych značkách ako Moving Shadow, Outbreak, Trickdisc, Cell, Dynamic Recordings, Core productions, Invader, Leet Recordings. Zvýšený záujem o produkciu Counterstrike viedol k vzniku ich vlastného vydavateľstva Algorythm recordings (www.algorythmrecordings.com), z ktorého prvé lastovičky boli mixované CD Biogenesis, nasledované Wardance EP, ktorého produkciu zastrešuje Moving Shadow a platňa nesúca tracky Killswitch/Enemy (k tracku Killswitch bol natočený aj podarený videoklip, ktorý uverejníme na dnb.sk už čoskoro). O svetovú distribúciu Algorythm Recordings sa stará Nu-Urban Distribution.

Vo svojej krajine sú CS známi aj organizovaním dnes už kultových akcií Homegrown, na ktorých sa predstavili už takmer všetky významné mená svetového drum and bassu.

Kenei started to produce and play live Drum & Bass in 2003. In 2005, he signed with BrainfuzZ the tune “Welcome to the Game” on Citrus Recordings, then in 2006/2009 solo on Melting Pot (Spain), Close to Death (UK), is the Shockwaves EP, which celebrate Melting Pot Recording's 10h release. New tunes and remixes are coming this year.

He also produce and play live as Chaotic System (drum and bass liveact duo with BrainfuzZ) and Projectiles (Nuskool Break liveact).

In 2010 Kenei and BrainfuzZ decide to run their own digital label, Hexagone Recs.

Famous as solo names for their releases on Melting Pot, Flight, M-Atome, Close 2 Death, Disturbed, Ammunition, and also for their respective solo liveacts, they deliver as a duo more power, helped with more machines, a liveact composed exclusively with their own tunes, some which are specifically composed for liveact.
2010 is an exciting year as the duo forge ahead and create their own label, Hexagone Recordings.
