Paul McCartney, arguably the most commercially successful performer and composer in popular music, will make his return to Toronto on Sunday, August 8, 2010, when he brings his Up and Coming 2010 Tour to Air Canada Centre. Keeping with his headline-making special concerts, the tour will feature the iconic star and his band in unique venues, places and locations; cities he's never before played as well as familiar markets he's not recently visited.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, June 14 at 12:00 p.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone at (416) 870-8000 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca. Tickets will also be available at Air Canada Centre ticket office (no first day sales).

Advance tickets are available to American Express Cardmembers beginning Tuesday, June 8 at 10AM through Friday, June 11 at 10PM.

It has been over five years since Paul McCartney last visited Toronto, where he played to a sold-out crowd at Air Canada Centre. McCartney's live shows have reached a new level of status in recent years, garnering unprecedented reviews from fans and critics alike. He's pushed boundaries, performed to millions and made global news with monumental shows including performances in Moscow's Red Square, outside of the Coliseum in Rome, the largest outdoor show ever in the Ukraine, his first performance in Tel Aviv and a live performance into a NASA space station. Last year's Summer '09 Tour began in earnest with an already legendary inaugural run of shows at New York's CitiField Stadium, the site of the former Shea Stadium where The Beatles played the 1965 concert that set the precedent for the modern-day stadium rock show.
