Description

Hysterical Injury present the launch of their debut album Dead Wolf Situation with special guests She Makes War, Thought Forms and Klad Hest.

Dead Wolf Situation is about sex, rebellion and claustrophobia. The futility and the chase of sex, and society’s obsession with it – which the album is both a part of and kicks against. Rebellion against homogenisation, and against having to fight to remain an individual. And claustrophobia in language, as both a woman (in Annie’s lyrics) and a person.

"Extraordinary... How two people can kick up a noise that big and that good with nothing but a bass guitar and a drum kit is beyond me" - Tom Robinson, BBC 6Music

"...the wonderful, extraordinary and above all noisy Hysterical Injury bound to make an impression in 2012" - Drunken Werewolf (http://bit.ly/vjns61)

"Loud as fuck fuzzed up joy" - Just Music That I Like (http://bit.ly/uWGcUw)

"You'll get it, head to toe, your body will recognise the feeling" - Ngaire Ruth, The Girls Are (http://bit.ly/svpCAc) ☀☀☀☀☀

This show is the hometown launch of our debut album. Please invite everyone you know.

Hysterical Injury are proud to be joined by:

One-woman DIY miracle She Makes War; "a fiercely independent spirit who makes music on her own terms and is the perfect example of digital DIY – a modern musical Boudica who won’t take no as an answer and sings these dreamy, heartfelt songs that envelop you with their raw beauty and textural melodies." - Jon Robb (http://bit.ly/syED06)

Klad Hest - one of the many guises of Beak>'s Matt Loveridge. "Awesome" - Gimme Tinnitus (http://bit.ly/tZC5Dy)

and Invada Records' mighty Thought Forms - "The sound of effect pedals being tortured and sacrificed to the Gods of thunder" - Kerrang!
