After the many trials, tribulations and cancellations that was 2012, Dreams of Neon is reassembling itself in new configurations for 2013. Our intrepid disco explorers have searched far and wide and located a little-known hidden gem of a venue on the mean streets of Friedrichshain. So come, bring your friends, and revel in the wistful waves of intergalactic sounds.

Lazercat is a retro-fetishist disco addict born in the future... or simply a little girl with cat ears, a laptop, and a mind that likes to dance off into synthesizer space. Spending her formative years in ice-cold northern Canada, she compensated for the frigidity of her surroundings by developing a genuinely warm and highly melodic style of electronic music, firmly rooted in 1980s underground disco and house, but with more than a little nod to outer space. Lazercat now lives in Berlin, and we're very happy to be able to host one of her first ever live performances at Dreams of Neon.

Starting out as a natural born pimp in the late 3070s Agent Starling (formerly LSDisco) has been mostly known for his cool ways with Cool Whip and connections to the gay biker scene where he spun dark electroid dance records at Neuromancer parties to relax after a busy week. After a life-changing Neon Disco encounter with label owner and Russian interstellar spy Lijesha Orlov, Agent Starling discovered his candy-lunar side and reinvented himself as 'spaceship DJ'. Ever since, he makes crowds go wild at parties within the Orion Nebula where he was last seen setting over to the Lazerhawk Belt. After a 4-lightyear tour he will arrive at Lauschangriff next week just in time to take all of you back into space.

Lurking from the Finnish underground, Naks has been involved in everything from making 8-bit hardcore and wonked-out techno to running electro labels, from organising parties to DJing in moldy basements and glamorous discoteques. But most of all, his heart burns for italo disco. Over the years, he has built up an enviable collection of the very finest italo, electro and synth records from which he teases out flawlessly mixed sets of pure dancefloor joy.

Robot grooves, outer space disko and miserablist machine melodramas. European Man has been delighting the London and Berlin underground with a cosmic blend of playback fantasies and sleazy jack traxx for light years. Drawing on anything from italo disco to classic house to abstract electronics to Detroit techno to minimal wave, his sets are a blissful marriage of groove and melody, dripping with arpeggiated emotion.
