Description

Lorde is pleased to reveal that her anticipated debut LP, Pure Heroine, will be released in Australia on 27 September 2013 via Universal Music. She will be performing a handful of shows in support of the release this October.
The 16 year old New Zealander was widely anointed as the highlight of this year's Splendour in the Grass after she was called in to replace Frank Ocean at the 11th hour. An estimated 10,000 fans crammed into the Super Top to catch Lorde's ten song set, which comprised favourites from her debut EP and 5 brand new tracks. It was truly a magic moment, made all the more special by the fact that it was only her eighth ever show.

The stats on Lorde are impressive. Her debut EP, The Love Club, was released on the internet and downloaded 60,000 times before being made available for sale, is now double platinum and sitting pretty at #2 on the ARIA Chart. Lead single 'Royals' continues its assault on the airwaves and charts, last week reaching #2 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

It's not just Australia that Lorde is winning over. Last week, she mesmerised US audiences and her new mate Diplo with two sold-out, jam-packed performances in LA and New York. This week, 'Royals' reached thenumber one spot on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart, making her the first female solo artist to do so since Tracey Bonham's 'Mother Mother', in 1996 (i.e., before Lorde was even born).
These shows will sell out.
