Dear friends,
On this 60th “SUPERBAD!”, we thought it was well-suited to showcase bands whose works are closely related to sounds of the ’60s, and that are fronted with a feminine touch. One of the bands featured this time came all the way from Melbourne, Australia, to perform their versions of Asian/Western girl garage tunes from the ’60s. The second band, one that we are already familiar with, is a sextet with a female vocalist who dazzles us with tunes that drew inspiration from old Indonesian movie soundtracks, many of which are from the ’60s. Last but not least, a duo from Jogjakarta with their easy breezy female voiced folk style songs, a genre that was popularized around the ’60s. All right then, let’s get back in time and enjoy…
