Admiral Freebee

Als we ons niet vergissen hangt er elektriciteit in de lucht. We hebben hem al vervaarlijk horen grommen in theaterzalen. Tijdens de herfst van 2006 trok de Admiraal met gitaar onder de arm door het land. Een theatertournee die 20 uitverkochte (!!) concerten en een Freebee zonder franje en met een extra portie soul opleverde.

Met de single 'Living For The Weekend' laat hij alvast zijn tanden zien.
Maar wij willen meer. Meer Admiral Freebee!

Tom Van Laere plugt alles in, al dan niet in de juiste gaatjes, dit is rock'n roll! De tapijten worden opgerold, de vleugelpiano opgeplooid, er wordt zichtbaar stoom afgeblazen, recht in je gezicht. De admiraal wordt bijgestaan zoals het hoort, extra gitaar (Yihaa!) van Bjorn Eriksson, bas door Jeoffrey Claeys, drum van Arnout Hellofs en de onnavolgbare zangcapriolen van Nina Babet. Het derde album van Admiral Freebee 'Wild Dreams Of New Beginnings' werd opgenomen in de Maison Bleu-studio in het New Yorkse Kingston, onder leiding van producer en gelegenheidsbassist Malcolm Burn. (samenwerking met o.a. Bob Dylan, Daniel Lanois en Iggy Pop).

Van 'Wild dreams' gesproken, U krijgt het allemaal zoals het hoort, op een gouden plateau, rechtstreeks in uw strot geramd. Veel plezier!

If we're not mistaken, there's electricity in the air. We've already heard him growl frightfully in theatres. During the autumn of 2006 the Admiral made his way through the Flemish part of the country with a guitar under the arm. A theatre tour that sold-out 20 concerts (!!) and a Freebee without frills that delivered an extra portion of soul.

With the single 'Living For The Weekend' he already showed his teeth. But we want more. More Admiral Freebee!

Tom Van Laere plugs everything in, in the right holes or not, this is rock'n roll! The carpets are rolled back, the grand piano is opened, it's obvious there is steam let off... right in your face. The Admiral will be appropriately assisted by the extra guitar (Yee hah!) of Bjorn Eriksson, bass of Jeoffrey Claeys, drum of Arnout Hellofs and the inimitable vocal caprioles of Nina Babet. The third Admiral Freebee album 'Wild Dreams Of New Beginnings' was recorded in the Maison Bleu-studio in Kingston New York, under the leadership of producer and occasional bassist Malcolm Burn (together with the likes of Bob Dylan, Daniel Lanois and Iggy Pop).
