JOHN & JEHN EN CONCERT à la Flèche d’Or :
John et Jehn sortent leur premier album éponyme: “John & Jehn” le 15 octobre.
La presse musicale britannique, enthousiaste, l’a défini comme un savant mélange entre Joy Division, The Velvet Underground ou The Fall.
Sous le charme de leurs concerts d’une énergie peu commune, Londres ne cesse de parler d’eux. On les trouve effrayants de part leur intensité : sur scène le duo ne triche pas, communique avec passion laissant généralement un public bouche bée. Leurs shows forgent leur réputation jusqu'à devenir «le groupe dont on parle le plus » dans NME. Le public grandit, John & Jehn trouvent leur place parmi les groupes de la scène anglaise et entament une tournée avec début 2008.

BADEN BADEN (Fr)

Folk/Rock. Baden baden, comme son nom ne l'indique pas, réunit tout et son contraire : c'est un bricolage sonore entre folk et électro qui laisse une impression contradictoire de grands espaces et d'intimité, entre électricité et dénuement. leurs petites pièces oscillent souvent entre versions acoustiques agrémentées d'instruments en tout genre et versions électriques habitées avec puissance. Comme son nom ne l'indique pas, Baden baden aime à sa contredire pour mieux surprendre...

ADRIAN CROWLEY (Tin Angel Records/Irl)

Alternative / Autre / Folk. "On his fourth album, this great Irish songwriter continues to creep under the skin and behind your defences, his hushed songs, spare lyrics and diffident baritone detonating with real impact, for all that they arrive by stealth and without the slightest suggestion of an imminent explosion. Crowley deploys restraint as a deadly weapon, the self-recriminating Leaving the Party merely a repeated guitar figure and mumbled, mournful singing, which gives the eventual entry of added instrumentation, rhythm and ghostly backing vocals incredible force.
