Real techno returns to Melbourne this October with the launch of MXML: no MNML at Velvet Underground, basement, Hotel Discovery, 167 Franklin St, Melbourne.

Maximise your techno experience by saying goodbye to minimal techno and welcome back the 909 driven monster tunes you all know and love on an Ishtar installed Funktion 1 sound system.

Across two rooms, the toughest techno and dubstep will be dropped with decor and lighting by Lumina Visual Productions.

In the techno room…
Live on the night will be live performances by local techno stalwarts Industrial Negotiator (comprised of Serotone and Linas) and Machina, with support from legendary local DJs Dee Dee, Matt Radovich and, fresh from retirement, Melbourne Techno Massive’s PDT. Expect to hear the toughest and funkiest sets of techno heard in these parts for some time, all coming through crystal clear on a monster sound system.

In the dubstep room…
AC23, Same-0 and deviant will be dropping the latest bass heavy dubs all night long on a system that does these babies justice
