Scottish post rockers Mogwai have announced a stellar three night residency in Dublin’s Academy on Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March. Tickets for each night are priced €30 inclusive of booking fee and are on sale from Wednesday, 4 February at all usual Ticketmaster outlets.
Mogwai produce often lengthy guitar based instrumental music focused around a particular theme. Formed in 1995 by Stuart Braithwaite and Dominic Aitchison they have become one of the most influential and best known names in post-rock.
Influenced by musical heavyweights such as Joy Division, Pink Floyd, Jesus and The Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine Mogwai’s music is of epic scope and grand ambition much like the three nights they are to play in the Academy.
Mogwai released their sixth studio album, The Hawk Is Howling, last September receiving favourable reviews from the likes of NME and Q magazine.
