Behind you the door slams shut. locked. before your eyes a staircase descends into a dimly lit corridor. at the very end a door looks to stand ajar. a flickering light beckons. the air is stale. cautiously you make your way down, moving towards the light at the end of the passage way. from the room behind the massive steel, sounds erupt. dazzling volumes push drones and screeching noises, sometimes with jarring screams, through the walls. In the room hospital like drapes hang from hooks. tables are filled with ominous looking instruments. an unsuspected gust of wind pushes the door closed. the single light bulb flickers and strains to remain on. and then all is pitch black and all of a sudden. as your eyes try to adjust to the instant darkness, your ear drums are pummelled with scraping noise sounds, like a machine coming to life in close proximity...

Co-produced by amsterdam's al-noisia (known from the destruction alpha & beta nights in occii) and the SJU venue, halcyon presents: noise central festival VII, featuring: harsh noise, experimental industrial, dark ambient and above all: the finest in power electronics.
