16-17 februari 2007 gick den första House of Metal av stapeln. Det blev en riktig succé med fantastiska artister, glada besökare och en massa ros i pressen. Det kändes självklart att det skulle komma en fortsättning.
15-16 februari 2008 var det dags för andra gången för metalhuset att öppna sina rostiga portar.
Nu jobbar vi för fullt med 2009 års House of Metal, som körs igång 27-28 februari!
Umeå Folkets Hus är arrangör av House of Metal och det är i deras lokaler festivalen hålls.
Vi kan ta in ca 2500 besökare/kväll och kör band på fem scener under två dagar. 2007 spelade band som Soilwork, Satyricon, Hardcore Superstar, Pain och Entombed under festivalen. 2008 spelade bl.a. Candlemass, Unleashed, Meshuggah och Decadence.

In February 16th to 17th 2007 the very first House of Metal took place. It was a huge success with great artists, satisfied visitors and lots of praise in the press. It felt obvious that there would be a continuation.
February 15th to 16th it was time for the old rusty metal house to again open its doors.
Right now, we're workning constantly with House of Metal 2009, taking place February 27th to 28th.
Umeå Folkets Hus (The People's House of Umeå) is the organizer of House of Metal, and that is also where the festival is held.
We can take around 25 000 visitors per night, and bands are playing on five stages during two days. In 2007, bands like Soilwork, Satyricon, Hardcore Superstar, Pain and Entombed played during the festival. In 2008, Candlemass, Unleashed, Meshuggah and Decadence were among the playing bands.
