Biography

The ''Côstes'' brand is forever linked with the ultimate in quality and is renowned with patrons as the home of luxury in Paris. After all, the overriding theme is ''all things in excess.'' Feel free to luxuriate with the sounds and splendor of the most relaxing place in Paris with the upper crust.

Örsten was born in Helsinki, but lives in Paris.

In 1993, at age 13, he discovered American Hip Hop music which got him immediately hooked. Two years later, he started using his computer to sample loops. As a self-taught sound scientist, he began creating rap instrumentals for several Parisian groups. He also composed music influenced by movie soundtracks from the 60s and 70s.

In 2002, he joined a group called "La Casa Menthe" (signed on Menthe Productions). They released two House 12inches in 2003. They then performed these tracks live at the Summer Festival in Parc de la Villette with jazz accordionist Ludovic Beier.

He then released his first solo 12inch: Airport Taxi (still on Menthe Productions). Besides that, he has been working with artist Clotilde Viannay.

In June 2005, he created the soundtrack for the Proléa/Onidol TV commercial (www.varierleshuiles.fr, see "voir le film").

More recently, his track "Fleur blanche" was selected by Stéphane Pompougnac to be featured on the "Hôtel Costes X" compilation.
